Dr. Shivaram Bharadwaj is a Postgraduate, was in charge of General Surgical receiving and Accident & Emergency care, working on a rota of 1:3 and then 1:4. I obtained a wide and balanced exposure to the various specialties and General Surgery in a training programme approved by the National Board of Examinations and the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

  • Matriculate of the University of Madras through Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Madras in 1978.
  • Passed the Pre-University examination from the Loyola College, Madras in 1979.
  • Graduated in Medicine from the Madras University through the Madras Medical College, Madras and awarded the M.B.B.S. degree in February 1985.
  • Awarded the Diploma of the National Board of Examinations[New Delhi] in General Surgery after completing the prescribed 3-year training rotation and passing the final examinations of the Board in May 1990.
  • Passed the PLAB exam in London 1988 to obtain registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Passed the final exams of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in February 1993 and admitted as a Fellow of the College.
  • Completed the Overseas Doctors Certification Scheme of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons after successfully completing the prescribed 3-year training course and awarded the Diplomate of the Royal College of Surgeons in May 1996.
  • Passed the Intercollegiate examination in Plastic Surgery and awarded the FRCS [Plastic Surgery] in March 1998.
